A late Victorian emerald, old-cut diamond and pearl brooch, circa 1890, designed as a series of sweeping, interlaced scrolls, pavé-set throughout with graduated old-cut diamonds in silver-topped gold.
The lower section centres upon a rectangular-cut emerald within an old-cut diamond surround, terminating in an articulated pearl drop. Fitted with a pin to the reverse.
