Astoria is built on genuine specialist expertise, not general auction- house breadth. Our team holds FGA and DGA gemmological qualifications and decades of hands-on experience in fine and antique jewellery specifically. We’re LAPADA members, held to that association’s standards of authenticity and trade integrity. That focus means sharper valuations, more informed cataloguing, and a service shaped entirely around jewellery-not a sideline to furniture or fine art.

Sellers receive the full hammer price for their item- we don’t charge seller’s commission. Our revenue comes from a buyer’s premium of 25% (plus VAT) added to the winning bid, in line with standard auction practice. This means sellers keep more of their sale price, while buyers see clear, upfront costs with no hidden fees.
We also offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
